We have easy tube and bus access to the venue.
The Hammersmith & City/Circle and Metropolitan Lines go to Great Portland Street which is 30 seconds away from the venue.
The Bakerloo Line stops at Regent’s Park Station which is 2 minutes walk from the venue.
The Victoria and Northern Lines stop at Warren Street which is a 5 minute walk away.
There are plenty of direct buses from West and East London running along the Euston Road plus buses running north to south, going down Great Portland Street and vice versa.

We do not have any customer parking at the venue, however, there are many side streets around the venue, most of which offer free parking after 6.30pm.
All club nights at 229 operate an over 18 age restriction and we also enforce ‘Challenge 21’. Valid picture ID must be shown.
Most live shows are 18+, however some shows do allow access to a younger audience. These age restrictions will always be clearly specified on the event information page and also on the ticketing page (if we are selling tickets for that particular show). We do not take any responsibility for other ticketing sites specifying incorrect age restrictions. It is the responsibility of the promoter of any given show to inform the ticketing agent of the correct age limit.
Please feel free to clarify with the venue the age restriction of any given show. We do not like disappointing customers on the night.
We do not allow any smoking in the venue. Vaporisers and Electronic Cigarettes are also not permitted in the venues. We provide a smoking area outside the venue.
Cameras and Recording
Only registered and authorised press will be permitted to bring SLR Cameras into the venue. Anyone thought to be illegally recording a show or event will be asked to stop. Their device may be confiscated and they may be asked to leave the premises.
All lost property is handed into the front office. E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org with a detailed description of the item and we will reply within 24hours. All lost property is removed from the premises after 2 months and given to a local charity.
Free phone taxi service
There is a Free-phone taxis service available from our front desk, the desk is open 24 hours. Our local taxi provider’s direct number is 0845 12 12 12 if you want to book in advance before the night.
What are the usual performance/stage times?
This varies depending on the night. We will endeavour to publish stage times on the website however, these are not normally available until the day of the show. We would prefer it if you didn’t call the venue.
I’ve brought a ticket from your website but haven’t received my confirmation e-mail, did my payment go through?
E-mail email@example.com or alternatively ring 0207 631 8379, we will be able to confirm if your purchase went through or not and we will re-send your confirmation.
Does 229 have a cloakroom?
Events in Venue 1 usually have a cloakroom, Venue 2 normally does not.
Can you give me a promoters number/e-mail?
Unfortunately we cannot give this information out.
