HOSHINO

https://www.facebook.com/hoshinouk/

Hoshino is a melding of four minds as one. The band was formed in 2015 by Elloise, Adam, Matt and later joined by drummer Charlie. The smooth, soulful vocals of Ell intertwine with Adam’s intricate guitar grooves, Charlie’s driving rhythms & Matt’s popping basslines. Each element is glued together with bleeps & klangs and other worldly fx. Influences include Erykah Badu, Little Dragon, John Frusciante & Bonobo to name a few. Championed by BBC Introducing, the group have taken their music to new heights with much more on the way.”

“Blending ethereal electro sounds with groove laiden beats and sweet and soothing vocals which leave you wantting more.”  Tom Simkins – BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire

THE VELVETEEN ORKESTRA

www.danshearsmusic.com

While weaving tales of love, heartache and fantasy with their intensely dark and ethereal style, The Velveteen Orkestra are proving themselves to be one of London’s most interesting and captivating bands. Beautiful, flowing vocal melodies, with lyrics that bring to mind carnivalesque lullabies written by a much older soul, cascade over delicate and intricate guitar work, soaring vocal harmonies, a surging ocean of orchestral sound and songs so immersed in passion and pathos that they’re sure to haunt the memory long after the first listen.

Embodying the essences of European folk and bluegrass as well as echoing the guitar-based indie stylings of The Smiths and Radiohead, Shears can gently pluck at your heartstrings while, at the same time, delicately slipping them around your neck.

“A true artist, a voice with a purity of tone I’ve not heard from a male singer before. A young man with a real potential for great success”MARK FLANNERY (Producer:- U2, BLACK SABBATH, SONIC YOUTH, DEF LEPPARD)

LIV  AUSTEN

Norwegian born country, pop singer-songwriter Liv Austen  has already released two EPs independently and received early support from the likes of BBC Radio 2’s Paul Sexton.   Austen has also performed at London’s acclaimed Country2Country festival on the back of which Liv was signed to NUA Entertainment, headed up by the well known producer/performer Paul Hardcastle, best known for his hit ‘Nineteen’

Her latest single The Next Time was co-written with Jessica Sharman (Ward Thomas) and mixed by Ash Howes (Ellie Goulding, The Corrs), ‘The Next Time ‘is about finding the courage to tell someone they’ve used up all their second chances. It combines catchy pop hooks akin to the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen with Austen’s crystalline vocals, country-inspired musicality and a rich storytelling charm, she has created something truly addictive.
