The Listening Device were formed about 10 years ago and Visions of Imaginary Furniture is their 4th album

During that time they have gigged extensively, playing on the Avalon Café stage at Glastonbury last year, having previously supported the likes of Bryan Ferry, Roger Waters, Jools Holland, Eric Clapton and many others.

Jools Holland described their sound as being ‘In an extraordinary space, somewhere between Nick Cave and Ray Charles’. Other reviewers comments include that the band is ‘what Coldplay would sound like if Tom Waits was lead singer.’

The new album ‘Visions of Imaginary Furniture breaks new ground with its mixture of cryptic love songs, paeans to lost youth and hedonistic anthems and will be played in its entirety for the first time at The Venue on June 21st
